Before you call
Do you charge for an estimate?
No — estimates are always free. We come out, walk the property with you, talk through what you're after, and give you a clear, itemized scope and price. There's no charge and no obligation. Often the fastest way to get started is a quick call or a couple of photos of the yard texted over so we know what we're looking at.
Will I actually deal with Roberto?
Yes. Roberto Ramirez founded the company in 2018 and still runs the projects himself, so the person who quotes your yard is the person accountable for how it turns out. That's a big part of why homeowners across Raleigh, Cary and Apex keep the company at a 4.8-star rating on Google.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Raleigh and cover the greater Triangle — Cary, Apex, Durham, Holly Springs, Garner, Wake Forest, Morrisville and the towns around them, including Chapel Hill and Fuquay-Varina. For larger hardscape and outdoor-living projects we'll travel a little further; just ask.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ramirez General Landscaping, LLC carries comprehensive coverage — general liability, commercial auto and workers' compensation — with a current certificate of insurance on file. It means you've got real recourse and real protection, not just a handshake, on any job we do.
Do you take on both small jobs and big projects?
Both. We'll come out for a one-time cleanup, a run of fence, a fresh sod lawn or a patio — and we build full front- and backyard transformations, retaining walls and outdoor-living spaces. Plenty of customers start with one job and have us back for the next.
During the project
Do you use subcontractors, or is the work done in-house?
The core landscaping and hardscape is carried out by our own Ramirez crew, so the standard stays consistent and nothing gets lost handing off between separate trades. You deal with one crew and one point of contact from the estimate through to the final walk-through.
Why does drainage come up so much in the Triangle?
Piedmont clay doesn't drain well, so standing water, soggy lawns and water pooling against the foundation are the number-one yard problem we get called for. We diagnose where the water actually goes and fix it — French drains, catch basins, regrading, downspout extensions — because getting the water right makes everything you plant and build on top of it last longer.
How long will my project take?
It depends on the scope. A cleanup or a fence run can be a day or two; a sod lawn or a paver patio a few days; a full landscape-and-hardscape transformation can run a couple of weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate and keep you posted as the job moves along.
Can you build around how my family uses the yard?
Absolutely — that's the whole point of walking the property first. Kid- and pet-friendly layouts, low-maintenance planting, artificial turf for the muddy or shady spots, a patio built for how you actually entertain. We design the yard around how you live outside, not the other way around.

Do you stand behind your work?

How do I care for new sod and plantings?
New sod and beds need a season to settle in — mostly the right watering while roots establish, then normal mowing and care. We walk you through exactly what to do at handover and stay reachable, so you're not guessing while your new lawn takes hold.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
We do. Beyond one-time installs, we handle regular lawn care, seasonal cleanups, mulch refreshes and grounds maintenance for both homes and commercial properties — a crew you don't have to think about, keeping the property sharp week in and week out.
What if I've got a mix of things I need done?
That's normal, and it's exactly where a general-landscaping crew earns its keep. Drainage plus a retaining wall plus a new lawn, say, or a patio plus fencing plus planting — one crew handles the whole list, coordinated so it all fits together and you're not juggling three contractors.
